Jonas Jessen Hansen (born 1991 in Southern Jutland) is a multimedia artist who works across films, installation art and photography. Jonas lives and works in Dunedin, New Zealand. His practice is based on the world around him. With a conceptual and abstract approach, his works explore a curiosity about what it means to be happy, successful and beautiful; what it means to fit into society and be accepted, what it means to stand out from the crowd and be your own person. /ˈbɔːdə/ is a project dealing with boundaries. gBoundaries in both the literal sense as a line separating two countries, but primarily it is a study of the invisible boundaries that separate us as individual people; mental boundaries that we set up around ourselves to protect ourselves from anxiety, from the alien and the unknown.
